Hi-Tech Art

Hi, my name is Geeky Tom and Hi-tech gadgets are my life.  I have been a fan of hi-tech gadgets ever since there have been Hi-Tech gadgets.  That is why I have decided to blog about my favorite gadget, the mobile phone. Now you may ask why the mobile phone (aka cell phone for my fellow Americans) is my favorite gadget.  True they are very common, but today they include almost every gadget you could think of.  I love the idea of having my A-GPS, MP3 player, video player, PDA,  and a mobile TV, all in the same device as an 8 megapixel camera, not to mention they make calls as well.  To make me happy, a phone has to have it all.  And since I am in a good mood I am going to review one of my favorites: the KC910 Renoir by LG.  I not only love this phone because it is named after one of my favorite impressionist, but because this phone gives me the impression that I don’t need to own a single secondary device.  The Renoir also has me won over with its slick and sturdy look and curved reflective metal edges, it’s a real work of art. The center piece is a 3 inch touchscreen display which is sharp, colorful, and extremely easy to use. The Renoir is extremely touch-friendly, the whole interface is designed with fingers in mind, and it has fantastic media capabilities, all together it’s a winner in my book.

I love taking pictures, so I was really happy to find out that Renoir features an 8 megapixel camera with world renowned Schneider-Kreuznach optics. The camera software for the Renoir features an extensive range of settings and modes that you'd expect to find on stand-alone point-and-shoot cameras, including  face and blink detection, macro shooting mode, manual focus, digital image stabilization, and adjustable image sensitivity. The Xenon flash allows for wonderful results even when you have less than perfect lighting. The Renoir is also capable of shooting video at 120 frames per second, effectively creating high-quality videos which you can play back in slow motion, I used this to watch an epic pick-up fail by my good friend James.

I love my media, and luckily the Renoir makes quite a sweet portable media player, supporting MP3 and AAC music formats as well as MP4, DivX and XviD video formats and features Dolby mobile.  How could you possibly get a better movie experience from a handheld device? (Yeah, I’m sure they’ll think of something!). The Renoir also has includes a 3.5 mm headphone adapter and supports TV-out for viewing your massive photos on the big screen. There's a lot to love about the Renoir. The LG KC910 Renoir it does exactly what it sets out to do, and is gives you the camera, phone, and media player all in one small device.
